Lindstrøm enjoys a cult following in most clubbing circles, although he himself never listened much to club music growing up, instead playing piano in a gospel choir and Hammond-organ in a Deep Purple cover band. When he finally did start making club music, he recorded everything on actual instruments, as opposed to doing everything on the computer. Alongside his solo albums, Lindstrøm has released two critically acclaimed albums with Prins Thomas and one with Christabelle. Lindstrøm has won the Spellemann award four times.
Berlin based Telephones released his debut album Vibe Telemetry late last year, after over 15 years as a DJ and producer. The album gave the Norwegian DJ his first Spellemann award-nomination, as well as praise from publications like XLR8R, Mixmag, iDJ, Future Music, Resident Advisor and DJ Mag. On Vibe Telemetry, Telephones takes his eclectic style a step further, expanding his palette with references to his Norwegian club roots, ambient house, New York-house and disco, and much more.
