Birkelund camping is situated in an ancient cultural landscape with long traditions in agriculture and mountain dairy farming. You can still find mountain dairy farms along Fv. 50 with large flock of goat and farms where you can buy the local brown cheese made of goat milk and taste the different local traditional dishes made at the mountain dairy farm.

Birkelund camping is an excellent and natural point of departure whether you want to climb, mountain bike, go on fishing trips or just want to go for relaxing walks in an unspoiled and breathtaking nature. You can use Birkelund camping as a base for various tours by car, motorbike or bicycle. Many of the guests spend their time fishing in the river (Storåni) where fish are abundant. The best fishing spot is only 500 m from the camping site.You can also enjoy winter sports in Hovet (3 km), Hol (3 km), Sudndalen (15 km), Geilo
(18 km), Ål (25 km) and Gol (50 km).

In spacious and undisturbed surroundings are 14 cabins with heating for 2-6 persons. The cabins have all the necessary equipment for self-catering. The cabins are equipped with 2 cooking plates, cooking utensils, tableware, cutlery, refrigerator, coffee machine, garden furniture, duvets and pillows.

Birkelund camping can supply 33 caravans, motorhomes or tents with electricity and has 45 camping places for caravans, motorhomes and tents.
Birkelund camping also has a free sauna for their guests.

Dogs are, provided that they are on a lead, welcome on Birkelund camping. Birkelund Camping is open all year.
