A great family or training outing in relatively flat terrain around Tisleiafjorden on Golsfjellet in Hallingdal. Suitable for most people and an average fit person can also easily complete the trip with a bike trailer.
Since this is a round trip, you can of course start wherever you want to. This description has Oset Høyfjellshotell as the starting point.
Follow the road from Oset over Tisleiafjorden and cross the dam. The road rises fairly steeply from the dam to Buastølen/Furusetkrysset. Expect about 2 km with frequent uphill climbs, after which it is flat with some downhill to Langestølen (shop and cafeteria).
The road continues alongside Flya river, where you might try your luck at fishing, to Flyvassdemningen (dam). Cross the dam and follow the road through Lykkja and continue towards Skogshorn. Follow the signs towards Nøreli.
First you cycle one kilometre that features exhilarating downhill slopes, before you arrive at the trip’s steepest uphill climb. Be prepared for about two kilometres of medium steep climbing to Nøreli.
From Nøreli a new cycle route heads to Bleiktvedt. From here you follow the road to the left and continue past Golsfjell Fjellstue and Golsfjellet Hotell, cycling alongside Tisleiafjorden back to Oset Høyfjellshotell.
