Bystranda city beach in Kristiansand is a nice sandy beach with swim pier, sun deck and palm trees - ideal for children.
In addition, there are separate bathing ramp for the disabled.

The Blue Flag is a voluntaryeco-label awarded beaches and marinas. Blue Flag is an exclusive distinction is awarded only a few beaches in Norway - including Bystranda city beach in Kristiansand. The Blue Flag works towards sustainable development at beaches/marinas through strict criteria dealing with water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management, and safety and other services.
