At Setran activity farm you can experience a farm holiday. They rent out cabins and holiday houses and you get to enjoy yourself by petting and helping to care for the animals.

Farm and nature experiences for the whole family

Setran Gård offers farm and nature experiences for the whole family. Farm holiday is to live on the farm in cabins or holiday homes, get a tour, take care of the animals, or just be able to stroll around freely. The farm is located in peaceful and rural surroundings with great views of the fjord and mountains.

We have various domestic animals, such as rabbits, chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, pigs, goats, sheep, Icelandic horses and Nordland horses.

Horse riding is also popular at Setran Farm. Here is a riding arena for those who do not feel completely safe. For those with sufficient experience, we offer guided rides.

To experience the close nature, Setran offers rental of boats and canoes. Near the farm there are marked hiking trails and meeting places for barbecues and bonfires. The farm is also a visitor farm and approved 4H farm. You can come on a day visit, get a tour and get close contact with the animals and buy some quality products from the farm.

Cottages and holiday homes on the farm

Setran Gård rents out 2 log cabins (50m2) and 2 holiday homes (100 and 150m2), each with at least 2 bedrooms, kitchen with stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher, living room with lounge and TV (satellite dish), toilet / bathroom, laundry room with own freezer and washing machine. The largest holiday home has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 10 people.

The units have combined electric heating and wood burning with free access to wood. Both holiday homes have a heat pump as the main heating. All units have great views of the fjord and mountains. The cabins and the surrounding area are handicap accessible.

Guided tours
Setran Gård also offers various organized activities on the farm, large bird hunting, sea fishing, inland fishing and salmon fishing, canoe trips, trips in the woods and fields and summit trips. These are exciting and eventful trips that the whole family can experience together with the host / guide.

Examples of such trips are fishing and canoeing trips on the fjord, hiking to the giant pots in Galtneset, hiking to the Sami burial ground (Shamangrav), salmon fishing in Salsvatnet, otter fishing in Setervatnet with preparation of the catch in the barbecue hut, and large bird hunting in Setermarka.

Skrøyvdalsvegen is a gem of a detour from Kystriksveien, and goes from Høylandet over to Salsbruket, past Skrøyvdalsfossen and untouched wilderness before you reach Setran.
