As Norway’s only operational space center, Andøya Space has enabled researchers from around the world to study the atmosphere, the Northern Lights, and space since 1962. Located along one of Norway’s most scenic coastlines, the Andøya Space Visitor Centre offers visitors the opportunity to explore the Northern Lights and learn more about space exploration and Norway’s space history.

Learn more about the magnificent Northern Lights in the movie “The Northern Lights, from the Viking Era to the Modern Age”. Furthermore, you are free to explore our exhibitions on your own by using our audio guide system.

ESCAPE 42

The Earth is under attack, and you and your crew are the only ones who can save it! This is the backdrop in our sci-fi themed escape room “Escape 42”. Escape room challenges have become very popular over the last few years. By searching for clues and solving the puzzles you may find your way out of the “locked” room in time. Logic, creativity, and cooperation is crucial if you want to save the planet in less than 60 minutes!

ASTRONAUT TRAINING

A competent astronaut needs to keep both mind and body ready for the adventure that awaits! We have a variety of fun astronaut training activities for kids. In our digital climbing wall, you get to test your strength and motor skills. At the quiz table, you can challenge your brain. Make sure to try out our paper rocket workshop, where you build your very own rocket, launch it and see how high it flies!
