This has been combined with true Norwegian hospitality. With its location at the very heart of historic Bergen, the hotel is ideally placed, whether you are travelling on business or pleasure. The Hanseatic Hotel is not your 'standard' hotel. The hotel has been built on historic ground within the Finnegaarden Trading House at Bryggen, which is inscribed on Unesco's list of World Heritage Sites. We have retained the wharf style and architecture, and the old timber walls have been preserved in several places.
Finnegården probably has its name after the farm Finne on Voss and is first mentioned in 1403. In the mid-16th century, part of the farm belonged to Erik Rosenkrantz. Only after the fire in 1702 was Finnegården rebuilt as we know it today.
The Hanseatic Hotel is a short walk from many of the city's attractions, including the Fløibanen Funicular, the fish market, the Hanseatic Museum and Bergen Aquarium. Bergen is also the perfect starting point for exploring the Fjords.
The hotel is also located in walking distance of the airport bus, light rail, train station and parking garage.

We can offer 37 characterful double rooms with free WiFi, featuring exclusive furniture and unique bathrooms, creating an interior that is redolent of the time when Bryggen was a Hanseatic port. The Hanseatic Hotel will appeal to those looking for more than a standard A4 hotel, and who wish to spoil themselves in attractive and charming surroundings.

As the city's most outstanding hotel and restaurant complex, we want our guests' stay to be memorable and can offer delicious culinary treats that will appeal to every taste. We can offer dinner at Finnegaardsstuene, FG Restaurant & Bar and Casa del Toro, which are serving exquisite traditional and international cuisine. In addition, we can offer a cosy lobby bar, excellent conference facilities and private rooms, which are perfect for weddings, anniversaries and private events. Max capacity for conference is 32 guests. Max capacity for private rooms is 48 guests (90 guests in two of our private rooms).
