The history of the "Lillehammer Painters"
In the early twentieth century, the hotel was associated with the so-called Lillehammer Painters, who painted, hosted soirées and stayed at the hotel. Many of them paid for their stay with their own artworks, and the hotel is today adorned with many beautiful paintings, and the hotel has several well-kept living rooms with paintings by famous Norwegian painters.
