Friluftshuset has a bouldering wall and kayaks for rent, and offers bouldering courses, kayak classes, inspirational evenings, outdoor activity suggestions and a shop with hiking and kayaking equipment.
Kayaking and SUP
Friluftshuset offers kayak and SUP rental and kayak tours for all ages throughout the summer season. DNT also has kayaks for rent and kayak lessons at Langøyene, an island in the Oslo Fjord. Friluftshuset offers kayak and SUP rental. To rent a kayak a Wet Card or a similar certification is required. Friluftshuset hosts kayak courses and tours for all ages thorughout the year. At their facilities you will find 70 kayaks, as well as wardorbes and lockers. They also arrange tours that you can attend without a Wet Card certification.
Bouldering
Friluftshuset has a bouldering wall where beginners and experienced climbers can borrow a pair of climbing shoes and challenge themselves. Bouldering is climbing without a rope, and if you fall, you land on a thick mattress. The bouldering wall is open for drop-in most of the time, and there are bouldering classes, family climbing sessions and climbing days for children.
Outdoor activity centre and shop
At Friluftshuset you can get good suggestions for outdoor activities on the Oslo Fjord, in town and in the forests around Oslo. In the shop you can buy maps, clothing and equipment that is more suitable for kayaking and sea activities than the equipment at the DNT Centre in Storgata 3 .
Room rental and group activities
DNT offers rental of the premises for companies and individuals when not in use. The venue is well-suited for family gatherings or for meetings and conferences.
