Groups have the possibility to hire a guide for a historical tour of the town among the wooden houses at Tyholmen, the old part of Arendal, Southern Norway.
If you are visiting our town with a group, book a guide in advance and go on a historical tour of the town among the old wooden houses at Tyholmen, the old part of Arendal. Here you can find a unique collection of buildings which look about the same as they did in the glorious days of sail in this region. We start by taking the glass lift up through the mountain to a panoramic view of the town and sea!
Then we can visit the old Arendal Town Hall, Norway's tallest wooden building.from the empire era (must be booked in advance).
For group reservation contact Arendal tourist office a couple of days in advance, so that we can find a guide for you.
If you don't want a guide, there is a map of the trail and a description of the houses you pass on your way.
