During summer, outdoor seating is available on the quay when the weather allows. Opening and serving hours vary throughout the year, and advance table reservations are recommended.

Outdoor activities on Senja
Hamn is a base for a wide range of seasonal activities on Senja, including hiking, kayaking, wildlife safaris, fishing trips, ski touring, snowshoeing and northern-lights experiences.
The mountains and coastal landscapes around Hamn offer hiking routes with different levels of difficulty. Guided activities and local guides can also be booked.
Boats, kayaks and SUP boards are available for hire, together with selected outdoor equipment such as snowshoes, thermal suits, flotation suits and fishing equipment. Available equipment and activities vary by season.
After a day outdoors, guests can relax in the outdoor hot tub area overlooking the waterfront and surrounding mountains.
Senja also offers excellent photography opportunities, from dramatic mountain scenery and beaches to the midnight sun and northern lights, depending on the season and conditions.
How do you get here?
By car:
Hamn can be reached by road throughout the year via Finnsnes and the Gisund Bridge. The final part of the journey follows the western side of Senja and the Norwegian Scenic Route Senja.
During the summer season, ferry connections are also available between Brensholmen and Botnhamn and between Andenes and Gryllefjord. Operating periods and timetables vary, so check current ferry information before travelling.
By plane and car:
The closest airport is Bardufoss Airport, approximately 1.5 hours by car from Hamn. Tromsø Airport and Harstad/Narvik Airport, Evenes, are both around three hours away by car.
Airport transfers can be arranged on request.
By express boat or coastal ship:
Express boats operate between Tromsø and Finnsnes. Hurtigruten and Havila also call at Finnsnes daily.
Transport between Finnsnes and Hamn can be arranged on request. Check current departure times and connections before travelling.
