Heit Åkrafjorden is open every day from 10.30-19.30 from March to November. From 19.30-23.00, the sauna is reserved for Åkrafjorden Glamping‘s guests.

The sauna in Åkrafjorden is available from mid-March to mid-November. Heit Åkrafjorden is closed in winter (from mid-November to mid-March).

Is there an age limit for booking Heit Åkrafjorden?
The age limit for booking the sauna is 18 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult, but an age limit of 12 is recommended. All use of the sauna and surrounding area is at your own risk.
What should I bring with me when I visit Heit Åkrafjorden?
You need to bring swimwear, a towel and a water bottle. If you don't bring your own towel, you can hire one from Heit Åkrafjorden. It is also recommended that you bring something to eat, but please note that you are not allowed to enjoy food inside the sauna.
Is there a changing room and toilet at the sauna?
There is a toilet and a small changing room by the sauna. Here you can change your clothes and leave anything you don't want to take with you in the sauna.
How to get there
Drive to Fjæravegen 26 in Åkrafjorden, and park in the marked car park by the riverbank. At the car park, you will be welcomed by the sauna master. From here you have a short 5 to 10 minute walk. Please note that the path up is steep and winding, so good shoes are recommended.
Universal design
The walk to, and the area where the sauna is located, is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
