Iconic coffee shop by St. Hanshaugen park.

Small and very popular coffee shop next to St. Hanshaugen Park. Java is known for its delicious espresso drinks, and the main barista is former world champion Robert Thoresen.

Java opened all the way back in 1997, and in 2000 it opened its own micro roastery - the first of its kind in Norway. The micro roastery, now called Kaffa and located at Ryen outside the city centre, still delivers coffee to Java.

Java has a sister café at Briskeby called Mocca.
