Kvalvik fort was also a submarine station here during the war. The fort is still intact and many people spend a long time exploring the bunker, canons and other objects from the war.
The area is maintained by the municipality in close cooperation with Kvalvik Fort's Friends.
The fort has a beautiful location and is a great spot for fishing and barbecuing. The area is well adjusted for wheelchair users. Several information boards along the path and at the various installations.
