Tromsø is one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights.
Tromsø is located right in the middle of the so-called Aurora Oval, which means we can see the Aurora even when activity is low. On this tour, you will be accompanied by our best Northern Lights guide and a certified driver in a warm, comfortable bus. Our Northern Lights tours are conducted as a chase, which, based on our experience, gives you the best chance of seeing the Northern Lights. Our guides use their knowledge, the latest weather forecast update and work as a team with our drivers who know the road conditions very well to plan the best route for the night. Besides deciding where to go and whether the Northern Lights are visible, one of the main jobs of our guides is to take photos of you, preferably with the Aurora in the background. So, if you don’t have a camera, you will still take some photos home. Our guides have extensive experience capturing the Northern Lights on camera and can show you the right camera settings, give helpful tips, and tell you all about the Northern Lights. If there are not enough bookings to run the tour, the group may be merged with the English-speaking tour. Since it may be necessary to cross the border into Finland, you are responsible for bringing a valid ID card or passport on the tour.
