Step out of the everyday: Sandaa Sauna offers warm moments and panoramic views in the heart of Raet National Park.
Unwind at Sandaa Sauna – a wood-fired sauna located right at the water’s edge on Tromøy, surrounded by the spectacular nature of Raet National Park. Here you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the sea, just a few steps to a refreshing dip from the pier, and an experience that shifts beautifully with weather and season.
The sauna is private – booked exclusively for your group – so whether you want complete quiet on your own or a warm, relaxing moment with friends, this is the place to be.
Practical information
Open Monday–Sunday, all year round
To make the most of your visit, we recommend bringing:
• Two towels and swimwear
One towel to sit on inside the sauna, and one for after your sea dip.
• Warm clothes and an extra change of clothing
The wind can be brisk – especially during autumn and winter.
• Sandals or thick wool socks
Perfect if you plan to winter-bathe. Bring gloves as well.
• A headlamp
There is no lighting on the path from the parking area down to the pier.
• Food and drinks
Bring plenty of water and a snack if you wish. The pier has seating, and at the far end you can light a small fire and grill – a favorite for many.
