Trollsteinen: Hike to the iconic summit - Svalbard Wildlife Expeditions

Join the popular hike to Trollsteinen, 850 m above sea level. Our guide collects the guests from the respective hotels, checks that the guest is well equipped with clothes and footwear before departure. Your worn-in hiking boots with solid soles are recommended due to the rocky terrain.

The trip starts with a hike in a moraine landscape before we cross Larsbreen towards the foot of the mountain. We take several small breaks along the way to enjoy the view - the guide finds the right time and place for lunch. The silence is magical up here, so bring a camera, binoculars, a warm sweater for the breaks and drinking water is smart if you get thirsty.

We'll use snow shoes if needed
