At Fossane farm you can rent a charming, authentic house, surrounded by the stunning Ryfylke nature at Vormedalen, the whole year around.
Fossane Gard is a farm beautifully situated on 200 m between the mountains in Ryfylke, 75 min. driving from Stavanger.
They have three unique traditional Norwegian cabins for rent: houses which are 100 years old with original wooden walls and the old atmosphere. All the cabins have a shower, a toilet and a fully equipped kitchen. Some furniture is as old as the cabins.
At Fossane Gard, charm and comfort come together. There are good fishing possibilities there. You can go for a hike, for example to the mountain cabin Subbeliå, the Ritland crater or to Skomakarnibbå, or get on a boat trip with a rowing boat or Canadian canoe in the Giskeli Lake. In the river Tøtlandsåna there are a lot of swimming possibilities with its waterfalls, rocks and tubs. They like to say that they have an outdoor waterpark in the river.
Fossane Gard has sheep on the farm so you can get a sense of rural life. At Fossane Gard you get water from their own well. The electricity that you use is sustainable from our own hydro powerplant, and the wood you use for the fireplace is from our own forest. You can´t get closer to nature!
