Bike & Hike to Drivandefossen Waterfall

Come along on a biking and hiking tour through the enchanting natural- and cultural landscapes of the Mørkrid valley, and get close to the impressive Drivande waterfall. You will also get a chance to learn about the cultivation of the valley's land in the olden days, hear how it came to be a national park, as well as get to sample traditional Norwegian food. The tour starts from Skjolden and continues through the peaceful Mørkrid valley. The biking trip lasts about 1 hour and is manageable for most, since the terrain is mostly flat. The guide will stop and tell, and show pictures from the valley's history. After about six kilometres of biking, we continue on foot up to the impressive Drivande waterfall

The tour starts from Skjolden and continues through the peaceful Mørkrid valley.

The biking trip lasts about 1 hour and is manageable for most, since the terrain is mostly flat. The guide will stop and tell, and show pictures from the valley's history.

After about six kilometres of biking, we continue on foot up to the impressive Drivande waterfall. The hike lasts approximately 30 minutes at a leisurely pace.

At Drivandefossen we sit down to rest and taste some flatbread and cured meat, while we enjoy beautiful views and listen to the sound of the waterfall and hear stories from the area.

Difficulty:  Moderate (requires good physical form)

Distance biking: In total approx. 14 km

Distance hiking:  In total approx. 2,5 km

Ascent: Approx. 320 masl.
