The campsite is located near the village of Byrkjelo. Next to a small river, and surrounded by majestic mountains.

Byrkjelo Camping has many options in cabin sizes and price classes. The camping facilities are well organized. The site offers spacious pitches for mobile homes and caravans, with a solid foundation. The tent area is next to the river on mowed lawn. The sanitary building has a kitchen, a laundry, spacious toilets and shower rooms, as well as family room and HC bathroom.

This is a great place for children. With a large outdoor area, swimming pool, playground, barbecue hut and campfire place. For adults this is a perfect place for as well retreat as an active holiday in the magnificent Nordfjord nature.

Our swimming pool is heated, and open daily during the school holidays. There is an entrance ticket, but half price for own guests.

The area has many great hiking possibilities, ranging from family-friendly gravel roads in light terrain, to peak adventures. You are welcome to ask for more information in the reception, or you may find brochures and inspiration for the visit in the store next to the camping site.

Gloppen municipality also has several interesting cultural monuments and historical attractions. Check out what you can see and do in Gloppen (clicking here) Possibilities for day trips by car to Loen, Olden, Geiranger, Sognefjord, Vestkapp and many other destinations.

You can find a kiosk on the spot, with a simple selection of products during the main season. Otherwise, there are supermarkets, local food, bakery and cafe within 100-250 meters of walking distance. Gas station and car service close by.

There is excellent trout fishing in Breimsvassdraget. Fishing licenses for sale at the campsite.
