Experience the Hardangerfjord at water level. Float peacefully in a warm, insulated immersion suit in Norheimsund, with a local guide close by throughout the experience.

What does it feel like to float weightlessly on a Norwegian fjord during the winter season? In the sheltered waters beside Norheimsund, you can slow down and experience the Hardangerfjord from an entirely new perspective – close to the water, the fjord landscape and the changing seasonal light.

Before entering the water, you receive a safety briefing and help putting on a warm, insulated immersion suit. The suit is designed to keep you warm, dry and afloat. No swimming skills are required, and the local guide remains close throughout the session. Most guests spend 30–45 minutes in the water, depending on comfort and conditions.

After the floating session, you can enjoy a warm drink and light refreshments. Digital photos are included, allowing you to leave your phone safely on land while enjoying the experience.

The meeting point is at the reception of Thon Hotel Sandven, around 50 metres from the bus terminal and a short walk from the fjord. Norheimsund is approximately 80–90 minutes from Bergen by car or direct bus. The experience starts daily at 13:30 and lasts 75 minutes in total. The schedule is planned around the 15:00 return bus to Bergen. Always check the latest timetable with Skyss before travelling.
