Guided winter hike to Preikestolen with Explore Lysefjorden

Winter is a great time to visit Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock). Grab the chance and explore the iconic rock formation in Ryfylke with Explore Lysefjorden during the serenity of Norway's off-season.

Join Explore Lysefjorden on a unique experience on which few people take the opportunity to embark. Snow makes the landscape transform into a wild and stunning wonderland. It may seem challenging and intimidating, but the guide provides the safety needed to enjoy the amazing winter landscape of Ryfylke and Fjord Norway. If conditions allow it, you get access to alternate routes with exclusive photo opportunities

The highlight is the spectacular view from sheer cliff face, towering 604 meters above the majestic Lysefjord. It is a fantastic reward after all the work it took to get there. In these low-season months you get the famous icon more or less to yourselves.

The drive from Stavanger to the start of the trail (where restrooms are available), takes about 40 minutes. From Jørpeland it takes 10 minutes by car.

The pace allows for time to adjust clothes and equipment, time to rest and enjoy snacks, and for taking pictures, both along the way and at the top.

Get the most out of your trip – hike with a guide.
