The parking lot is established by the municipality in collaboration with Sandnes Havn and Sandnes Tomteselskap and is situated by the harbour promenade. It is only a 5 minutes' walk to the town centre, train- and buss-station and grocery store.

It is only a 5 minutes’ walk to the town centre, train- and buss-station and grocery store. A perfect location if you want to spend some time in Sandnes or you want to leave the camper and take the train or bus to Stavanger, Egersund or other places in the region. If you have a bike, or rent a city bike, you will have access to many bike paths that take you to beautiful hiking areas, including the fjord, the sea and the mountains. “Sandvedparken” stretches 3.5 km along the Storånå river, and is a great park area with playgrounds, exercise machines, sand volleyball court, hiking trails, idyllic picnic areas and @Parkkaféen with its amazing baking (opening hours on Facebook). The distance is short to Langgata, Norway's longest shopping street, where you will find several exciting niche shops, cozy cafés and restaurants. It is within walking distance to Vitenfabrikken (Science Factory), Sandnes cultural center, Odeon cinema Sandnes, library, tourist office and several large shopping centers.

It is not possible to pre-book space.

The campervan parking place is meant to be a short-term parking space (1-3 days). It is therefore not allowed with any other form of camping or camper tents.

Disposable grills and bonfires are not allowed.

It is recommended to install smoke alarm, gas alarm and CO alarm in the Campervan.
