Hike Barlindåsen Ridge

Barlindåsen Ridge is a relatively easy hike with a huge reward as you look down on Oslo from the eastern side. Whether you're walking off your weekend indulgences or trying to get in some fresh air after work, this hike is for you. Start by Sandermosen train station, head over the train tracks and follow the signs towards Lilloseter. When you meet the gravel road, take a left on the road and head north towards Skillingsdalen. Take a right off the gravel road and onto the dirt trail just before the Skillingsdalen crossroad. By hiking the ridge from north to south you'll get stunning views the whole way. Follow the signs down the ridge and back towards Sandermosen. Difficulty level: Medium, recommended from ages five and up Elevation: 230-380 metres above sea level Time consumption: 2-2,5 hours Transportation: Park at Sandermosen train station. The train does not stop here. Description courtesy of Outtt. Download the Outtt app from Google Play or App Store for more outdoor activity suggestions in Oslo.
