Here one finds both easy-to-walk forest roads and marked trails, as well as more demanding routes for those seeking a challenge. The 60 kilometer long lake Femund and the associated Femundsmarka Nasjonalpark offer one of Southern Norway’s most untouched wilderness areas, where one can spend days outside without meeting others. The area is rich in small lakes, rivers, and mysterious forests, perfect for both hiking and canoeing. There are 22 selected peaks and hikes that are family-friendly, as well as the 134 km long Femundstien which can be taken in its entirety or in parts. In addition, visitors can participate in Stolpejakten, an exciting activity that takes you to hidden gems in Engerdal. Femund Engerdal is truly an eldorado for nature lovers, hikers and fishermen.
