Loen Active is an activity company that gives you outdoor experiences starting from the center of Loen - all year.
Examples of activities during the summer are Via Ferrata Loen, zipline, mountain hikes with guide, cycling, kayaking and SUP. The offer in winter is i.e. sledding, snowshoe hiking, ice rink, hiking and kayaking.
The flagship is Via Ferrata Loen, a climbing path (built in 2011) right behind the Hotel Alexandra. On the "iron path" up the mountainside, one ends at Mt. Hoven (1011 masl/3316 ft.), with spectacular views to Lodalen, Oldedalen, Loen, Mt. Skåla and the mountains towards Jostedalsbreen Glacier. As part of the trail you will find Gjølmunnebrua bridge, the longest via ferrata bridge in Europe. The bridge is 120 m long and 35 cm wide, 170 meters above the ground! In addition, there are different routes, as well as a 36m long wire bridge. Via Ferrata Loen is good for adventurous people and team building; in short, a phenomenal trip for you who want to experience something new and spectacular in the beautiful fjord landscape.
