Join us for a cosy evening hike to our Northern Lights Cabin, surrounded by the peaceful Arctic nature of Kvaløya.
Our guide will lead you safely from Yggdrasil Farmhotel to our secluded mountain cabin, located approximately 30 minutes from the hotel.
When there is sufficient snow, we will use snowshoes. The trail is steep in some sections, so participants should have a moderate level of fitness and wear good winter footwear.
The cabin is beautifully situated away from artificial light, making it an excellent place to enjoy the Arctic night sky and, with a little luck, experience the Northern Lights.
Inside the warm and cosy cabin, we gather around the fire and serve local snacks and a hot drink. Your guide will share stories about Yggdrasil, local history and old Norse traditions, including the fascinating beliefs and legends surrounding the Northern Lights.
Seeing the Aurora Borealis is always dependent on weather and natural conditions and can never be guaranteed. However, the peaceful hike, the mountain surroundings and the stories around the fire make this a memorable Arctic experience in itself.

Duration: Approximately 3 hours
Please bring: Warm winter shoes, windproof outerwear, gloves, hat and headlamp.
We also strongly recommend wearing wool or other warm base layers.
