At Perspektivet Museum, our core concerns are human beings and the world we live in. We care about both local and global issues. A visit here means a meeting with art and artistic expressions, alongside cultural history and traces from our own time.
In the first part of 2022, our focus is on the author and painter Cora Sandel/Sara Fabricius (1880–1974). She is best known for her three novels about Alberta: a young women from a small northern town, with a life-story not unlike the author’s own.
Over three floors, we present cultural artifacts, visual art and installations, literature and comic strips. Surrounded by the artist’s paintings, objects and books, you’re invited to listen to exerpts from her letters or dive into a digital treasure trove of photographs, archival material and personal items, collected throughout a long life as an artist.
Got some time to spare? Visit Cora Sandel’s very own street, see the sculpture commemorating
her and Alberta, or check out the Walls of Women mural inspired by Sandel and her literature.
