In Bergen, Rødne Fjord Cruise has had daily departures on its Hardangerfjord express service from Bergen to Rosendal since 2008. Since 2011, it has increased its focus on the tourist market in Hordaland and started sightseeing tours to Modalen. Rødne's focus on the tourist market has increased over the years and the popular tour "Fjordcruise Bergen - Mostraumen" now has daily departures.

Rødne is one of Norway's biggest express boat operators with small express boats. The company was founded in 1956 to operate a local school boat service in Ryfylke, but it has expanded over the years and now also runs scheduled boat services, ambulance boats, charter and tourism services. Rødne operates in Rogaland and Hordaland counties.

Its head office is on the island of Sjernarøy in Finnøy municipality in the Ryfylke area. The company has a sales office in Stavanger, Rødne Fjord Cruise, which sells and markets boat tours and adventure tours. Since 1974, its main product has been sightseeing tours on the Lysefjord, where the highlight is the famous Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen).
