Smuksjøseter Lodge is situated 5km east of Høvringen, 1130 meters above sea level, and has been accommodating guests for the past 60 years.

Just 200 meters southeast of the lodge is Rondane, Norway’s oldest national park. The lodge has 23 rooms each with shower and toilet. It also has a gym, sauna, table tennis room, a heated ski room and cafe for guests and visitors.

The dining room serves breakfast, lunch (or packed lunch / thermos) and traditional 3-course dinner.
Here you’ll find well-marked hiking paths and trails, a ski school, sale of fishing permits, rowboat and life jackets rentals and area maps for both summer and winter trips.

The latest addition at the lodge is a brand new building with rental apartments, completed in mid-February 2010. Some of the apartments include jaccuzi, sauna and fireplace and can accommodate between 2 to 12 guests.
The lodge is perfect for activities such as team building events, parties, courses and weddings. The premises are fully licensed and can offer webcam links and weather updates through www.yr.no.

In winter you can experience an unforgettable journey into the mountains aboard our tracked, all-terrain vehicle. In the summer the main road is open so it’s possible to drive right up to the border of the national park.
