Join us for a snowmobile safari where we leave Longyearbyen heading eastwards on the hunt for favourable northern lights conditions with an extra level of comfort in our northern lights camp!

It’s important to have a good time when hunting the northern lights, and when travelling in the outdoors there are few things as cozy as warming up around a campfire with a nice meal! Join us for a snowmobile safari where we leave Longyearbyen’s vicinity and head eastwards on the hunt for favourable northern lights conditions with an extra level of comfort.

Where our regular northern lights safari turns back towards Longyearbyen we’ll continue onwards into the wild on our way towards the east through Adventdalen. In addition to being a longer snowmobile trip which lets us enjoy even more of Svalbard’s beautiful landscape in the polar night, it’ll also allow us to travel further away in the search for favourable conditions that may let us catch a glimpse of the unique dayside northern lights here in Svalbard.

Our trip will bring us into the wild towards the hidden-away valley Brattlidalen where our lavvu (traditional Sami herdsmen’s tent) is waiting for us. Sitting on benches covered by reindeer skins around the fireplace in the lavvu we’ll enjoy a warm expedition lunch before heading out for a short hike into the valley. Here we’ll explore its rock formations up close, still keeping an eye on the sky in case the northern lights show up. After our visit in Brattlidalen we’ll begin our return journey back to Longyearbyen’s warmth after a full day of adventures in the polar night!
