Steinkjer Kommuneskoger offer free rod and oter fishing in over 50 lakes in Steinkjer. Should you wish to use fishing nets, you must purchase a fishing license.

Boats, canoes and kayaks
We have several boats, canoes and kayaks for hire.

For paddle happy friends and families, we offer several canoes and kayaks for hire in the river Ogna. From our starting point Støa and Hyllbrua, it is possible to paddle into the Lustadvatnet. Book online at Visit Innherred.

Our Boats are normal rowing boats, 3,75 metre long, and approved for maximum 4 people. Call Tel no: 922 99 190 to book.

Tour suggestions
Steinkjer kommuneskoger(Steinkjer Municipality Forests) is also an active participant when it comes to organising tours in and around Norway's geographic midpoint and Blåfjella-Skjækerfjella National Park.

Hunting
The municipal forest areas are no less than a paradise for the hunting enthusiast. Big game hunting for elk is very popular and our hunting licenses are hired out in four-year periods by lottery draw.
