Stiklestad National Cutural Centre in Verdal conveys the exciting story around the Battle of Stiklestad in 1030 and the part of Norwegian history linked to Stiklestad and St. Olav.

Stiklestad is a large area with numerous houses with different histories. They have year-round medieval storytelling, permanent and changing exhibitions with interesting themes, a large folk museum with 30 historic buildings from 1600-1800's, Stiklestad Church from 1180, an amphi theatre and a Catholic chapel.

IN THE SUMMER
During the summer season, you can experience the St.Olav's Festival and "Viking Summer". During the St. Olav's festival, in the latter half of July, the St. Olav Drama is perfomed on Scandinavia's largest and oldest open air theatre scene (cancelled in 2021). You can also attend concerts, exhibitions, performances, workshops, medieval market and talks.
"Stiklestad Summer" is daily activity programme for children and adults alike. Visit the medieval farm "Stiklestadir" and the Folk museum where 3 court yards are brought to life as 1898, 1942 and 1959. Everyday stories are conveyed with life, laughter and seriousness. Also featured is the tableaux theatre "Arvesølvet (the silver heirloom)". Pay a visit to Molåna café anno 1900 and the play barn, or join one of our skilled communicators on a guided tour.

Stiklestad National Cultural Centre also feature a museum shop, restaurant /cafe and Scandic Stiklestad Hotel.
