
As the trail passes through a historic cultural landscape, visitors can explore the various information points that provide insights into the forest, nature, and how people have used these resources over time.
The forest trail was opened in 1997 and is designed for school groups, visitors, and anyone interested in nature. Along the route, there are 18 information points focusing on the forest, its natural environment, and how people have used it over time. Topics include:
The trail was re-marked and cleared in spring 2007. All information points have been restored and are now in good condition. Most of the panels include German text.
Route description - The trail starts at the museum at Grasham. It leads briefly into the forest before continuing along the road towards Fjellskår. The route then turns right towards Svartetjønn, crosses the hill just north of the pond, and follows the road back towards Grasham.
Local history - The trail passes through historic cultural landscapes and goes by an old mill building on the slopes towards Fjellskår. The museum area at Grasham is also well worth a visit.
Getting there - Turn off the main road towards Tveide and follow the signs to the local heritage museum at Grasham.
