Old charming Drobak by the fjord comes to life every Sunday. Most of our shops, galleries and cafés are open and ready to serve or entertain you. We are never in a rush and certainly not on a Sunday. We are just open and that goes for the locals, too.

You are welcome to explore Drobak in your own pace and that goes for our specialty shops too. Whether it is fine clothing, footwear, accessoirs, home decor or arts, Drobak and the shops stay open on Sundays.

Arts and culture

It will take you just a few minutes or less to walk from one of our many galleries to the next, each showcasing different expressions, techniques, formats and materials. Enjoying the multitude of impressions is free while most of the artwork, some made by our very talented local artists, is for sale. Follo Museum will show you what Drobak and the surroundings were like in past times while modern arts are presented at Galleri Vera, Galleri Finsrud, Varmbadet and many more.

Live music is literally everywhere, official as the classical concert series held in Drobak Church or Kulturhuset Smia or you can bump into the more improvised and unnannounced local musicians suddenly playing a session together in a cafe or in the park. Our summer festival program expands year by year showcasing international and national top artist as well as local talents.

Family fun day

You are welcome visit one of the citys wellkept surrounding farms where you, depending on season, can buy farm produce or join activities. Or how about going for a swim and water fun activities at Bolgen Bad leisure and fitness center by the Skate Park at Seiersten? Then it is the Aquarium and the short boat trip to Oscarsborg with its historic fortress, a variety of activities and restaurants. In high summer Drobak is ideal for relaxing in the park or on the beach while Tregaardens Julehus, House of Christmas, worship the holiday season all year around. Talking Christmas magic, some and see us when we decorate our streets in December!

The narrow streets from 17-1800 century provide the small town its special "southern Norwegian" feel.
The center of the city is the meeting point and close to the centre you fin the idyllic "Badeparken - a place to take a swin.

In Drøbak you also find Tregaardens Christmas House and Santa's post office. Here is the largest permanent Christmas exhibition of all the letters Santa has got from all around the world - in the same place you also find the Tourist Information.
