Tinden Handelssted

A fishing village with history far back in time, later trading center. The site, which was protected by the National Cultural Heritage Authrities in 1994, has been rehabilitated in the period 2005 - 2020 according to antiquarian principles and will give visitors an exciting cultural experience.

The building environment - quay, rorbu, jetty, boathouse, outbuildings and residential buildings represent an authentic building environment where the architectural expression can be traced back to the reconstruction of the site in 1883.

Salt room

A documentation center has been established in the salt room that shows the history of the site from the younger Stone Age to the present day. The oldest documents shown are from 1567. The ownership of the site since 1830 is presented in text and pictures.

The conservation and rehabilitation of the site under the auspices of today's owner The Tinden Handelssted Foundation is duly documented in text and pictures.

Accommodation in an authentic fishing village

You can rent the fishing village in whole or in part.
The place has an approved kitchen for cooking.

Rental Capacities

2 authentic freestanding rorbues anno 1840 with 4 beds in each unit.
1 authentic freestanding rorbu with two bedrooms, a mes 4 beds and 1 with 2 beds.
4 authentic 1935 rorbu arches with 7-10 beds in each unit.
The residence has a kitchen, two living rooms and 4 bedrooms Modern sanitary facilities with large wardrobes, shower and WC for ladies and gentlemen.
