Trivselsskogen is a beautiful hiking area near Sandane center. The area will be further developed in the years to come.
The trail to the viewpoint is new and built around several elements: first the Solplatået (the Sun Plateau) with barbecue and seating for about 45 persons. Then Kjærleiksskogen (the Love Forrest) - here you can bring a heart and hang up, or cut your name in a tree trunk. Out of the Love Forrest and beyond you'll walk across nice heart stones.
Then you arrive at Draumekvila (the dream rest) - a beautiful view point. Here is also a day-hut. After Draumekvila, the sherpa stairs begin, and they almost go up to the main viewpoint with view of the fjord and Sandane centre. The county's first day-cabin is located on Draumekvila. They are supposed to be a low-threshold, a place to eat your lunch, change clothes and get warm. All day-cabins will have a Nynorsk tour library that will stimulate reading and showcase Norwegian books.
