Nice hiking & biking path along Hafrsfjord. Covered in gravel. Easy to walk.
In 2016, a new part of the planned hiking path around Hafrsfjord was completed, and the stretch between Møllebukta and Håhammer was then opened. It is a very nice walking and biking path with creative solutions. A bridge has been built over the sea at Håhammer to be able to pass the mountain. The bridge almost floats around the mountainside, and is attached to the inside of the mountain. The bridge and the road are illuminated so you can also do an evening hike here. The hiking road has won a national price for good design.
The hike north from Møllebukta can be divided into stages. The stretch Møllebukta - Håhammer is 2.2 km. From Håhammer via Madlasandnes to Hestnes, there is 2.5 km, and from Hestnes to Hafrsfjord bridge there is 2.7 km.
The old part of the path next to Madlaveien is covered in asphalt and won the Norwegian Road Administration's (Vegvesen) "vakre vegers pris" in 1997.
New car parking with access from Regimentveien from September 2020. The old parking will be for coaches only.
