Austrått agrotourism - Activities for every taste

The area of Austrått is a fantastic base for good experiences.

Hiking. A two-minute walk from Kårstua is the entrance of Austråttlunden, the grove of Austrått. This area is today a landscape protected area, but is well arranged for hiking with its good paths and resting places. Small boards with information about the nature and culture are placed along the 3 km circular track.

Beachlife. Storjektvika is a nice, sandy beach close to the marina and not far from the manor of Austrått. It is a nice walk  from Kårstua to the beach through the grove, Austråttlunden.

Golf. Either you are a eager golf player who search for new golf coarses to cultivate your passion, or you just want to shoot some strokes during your vacation, you leave  your car at the holiday house and take the two-minute walk to the golf course.

Biking. Some hundred meters from Kårstua you can turn in to the well developed network of faciliated foot and bicycle paths in the area. Sheltered from car traffic they really invites to use the bike.

Sea kayak. Ørland is surrounded by sea on three sides and therefore is a good base for kayak trips in the Stjørn Fjord, the Bjugn Fjord and the Trondheims Fjord with Kjeungskjær lighthouse and the islands "Juldagan" at Uthaug.

Fishing. In Austrått marina, some hundred meters from Kårstua, we have a steady console boat with 25 hp for rent. It is well suited for bringing the daily fish catch on the table.

Sailing. The sailboat which can be rented at Austrått Agrotourism is a Fabola Campus 650 (21 feet), a funny boat to sail.

Bird and animal life. Around the farm you can meet roe deer, moose, fox and squarrel. For the birdwatcher Ørland is an eldorado, with ao four Ramsar areas. In Austråttlunden it has been registered more than 70 bird species, and in Grandefjæra more than 200 species.
