Bortistu is a mountain farm at the very far end of Storlidalen in Oppdal - at the heart of Trollheimen. Here guests have found their way since the 1880’s, living close to nature and history. The farm has been in the family for a century, and hospitality has been essential ever since. Bortistu Gjestegård lies by the entrance of Trollheimen, with a myriad of marked trails both winter and summer.
A half-hour drive from west of Oppdal, at the very far end of Storlidalen lies Bortistu Gjestegård. The farm is surrounded by a mountain range that could take your breath away. Turn back time, get a peaceful break and enjoy.
The menu is based on local produce with basstu smoked leg of lamb as the specialty. Bortistu Gjestegård has 26 rooms and 70 bedrooms with dining for 110 persons in the unique atmosphere of Fjøset.
The history of the farm is portrayed in their own exhibition at Bortistu.
