SHORES is a project that uses music and art as tools to raise awareness of marine and coastal environmental challenges. The exhibition presents artistic results from three residencies in the Creative Europe project SHORES.
The participating artists are Jasmine Karimkova (NL/AU), Jônatas Manzolli (PT) and Carlos A. Correia (NO/PT), and the project has been led by Helena Marinho (PT), Hans Fidom (NL) and Øyvind Brandtsegg (NO). The artists have completed residencies in the three partner countries, Norway, Portugal and the Netherlands, where they have researched and developed artistic approaches to local ecological challenges.
The residency in Trondheim will take place from 3 to 7 August, and marks the culmination of the process that has been ongoing in the three residency cities. The project as a whole has been active for the past two years, and has also included community-building workshops, expertise sharing, creative collaboration and joint public presentations. The residencies took place in the period June–August this year, starting in Aveiro (PT), then in Lauwersoog (NL) and finally in Trondheim, where the project concludes with a week dedicated to exploration and creative work.
