Michael Schöch moves with equal mastery between piano and organ. Since receiving First Prize at the ARD International Music Competition for organ, he has been heard on some of Europe's most distinguished stages — from the Wiener Konzerthaus and the Berliner Philharmonie to great cathedrals across the continent, where his artistry resonates beneath centuries‑old vaults.
The Cross Church (Korskirken) and its Hollenbach organ from 1892 have been newly restored.
This summer's organ festival offers the rare chance to experience a restoration of the highest calibre, embracing both church and instrument alike.
The organ itself is unique: it is the largest surviving organ ever built by Hollenbach.
