BFK | 25.02.2026 | Notes on an Exile (2025)

As part of this year's collaboration with Cine Latino, a festival focusing on films made in Latin America, Bergen Filmklubb presents you with the European premiere of Notes on an Exile.

The documentary follows a Brazilian-Palestinian family in the West Bank. The footage originally shot in 2018 is revisited again after the events of October 7, 2023. What was supposed to be a film about the possibilities of coexistence in an occupied land turns into a brutal reflection on colonization, apartheid, genocide, and the recent proliferation of images of war, produced by the very victims of a massacre that repeats itself over time.
