About the concerts
From My Neighbor Totoro to Final Fantasy. Many of us love Japanese popular culture with all the fantastic worlds we are invited into. In Big in Japan, the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra makes musical contributions to various parts of the Japanese popular cultural treasury. Welcome to a quilt for all of us who love Japan!
Do you also love the universe created by Studio Ghibli, have you opened the game control for games like The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy, or maybe you love cosplay and manga? After the United States, Japan is the country that influences and engages us most in film, TV and other popular culture. Music is often an important part of this culture, and we take that seriously at Big in Japan.
In this concert we will burn on handpicked works from animation gems like Chihiro and the Witches and Escaflowne, to beloved anime TV series like Fairy Tail and Demon Slayer. The concert also features music from legendary games such as Final Fantasy, The Last Guardian and The Legend of Zelda. Everything is performed by the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and the Trondheim Symphonic Opera Choir.
In short – this quilt is viet all there who love it which is Big in Japan!
