Exhibition and Performance: Where Land, Water and People Meet
Where land, water and people meet. Opening and performance: 07.08.2026 at 18:00–20:00 SHORES is a project that uses music and art as tools to raise awareness of marine and coastal environmental challenges. The exhibition presents artistic results from three residencies in the Creative Europe project SHORES. The participating artists are Jasmine Karimkova (NL/AU), Jônatas Manzolli (PT) and Carlos A. Correia (NO/PT), and the project has been led by Helena Marinho (PT), Hans Fidom (NL) and Øyvind Brandtsegg (NO). The artists have completed residencies in the three partner countries, Norway, Portugal and the Netherlands, where they have researched and developed artistic approaches to local ecological challenges. The residency in Trondheim will take place from 3 to 7 August, and marks the culmination of the process that has been ongoing in the three residency cities. The project as a whole has been active for the past two years, and has also included community-building workshops, expertise sharing, creative collaboration and joint public presentations. The residencies took place in the period June–August this year, starting in Aveiro (PT), then in Lauwersoog (NL) and finally in Trondheim, where the project concludes with a week dedicated to exploration and creative work. – ENGLISH – Where Land, Water and People Meet. Opening and performance: 07.08.2026, 18:00–20:00 SHORES is a project involving musical creation as a tool to raise awareness of the environmental problems affecting our marine and coastal environments. This exhibition presents the artistic outputs of three residency periods, all part of the Creative Europe project SHORES. The resident artists are Jasmine Karimkova (NL/AU), Jônatas Manzolli (PT) Carlos A. Correia (NO/PT), and the project has been led by Helena Marinho (PT), Hans Fidom (NL) and Øyvind Brandtsegg (NO). The artists have been circulating through residencies in the three collaborating countries, Norway, Portugal and the Netherlands, investigating and implementing artistic approaches to local ecological challenges. The Trondheim residency is conducted from August 3–7, and represents the culmination of the process that has been ongoing in the three residency locations. The project as a whole has been active for the last two years, also including community-building workshops, shared capacity building, collaborative creation and joint public presentations. The residencies have been conducted during June - August 2026 starting in Aveiro, PT, continuing in Lauwersoog, NL, and now coming to Trondheim, NO for a final week of exploration and making.
