Además de competiciones, se llevan a cabo una serie de actividades para los visitantes, como clases de esquí, visitas guiadas y actos culturales, e incluso pueden probar suerte en la disciplina de salto de esquí en un salto más pequeño, diseñado especialmente para principiantes.
La carrera Birkebeinerrennet
Se trata de una competición de esquí de fondo que se celebra en marzo entre las localidades de Rena y Lillehammer y más de 15 000 participantes recorren cada año 54 kilómetros en ella.
La carrera Birkebeinerrennet se disputa en un ambiente lleno de emoción, con miles de espectadores animando a los esquiadores a lo largo del recorrido. Esta competición es una verdadera prueba de determinación, perseverancia y resistencia, y quienes la completan se sienten dominados por una increíble sensación de superación personal.
Durante los meses de verano, también se organiza una carrera a pie y una carrera en bicicleta.
Ekstremsportveko
Ekstremsportveko, también conocida como la semana de los deportes extremos, es un evento anual que se celebra en Voss y es uno de los festivales de deportes extremos más grandes y reconocidos del mundo. Ekstremsportveko reúne a atletas, aficionados y espectadores de diferentes rincones del mundo para participar y presenciar una cantidad de emocionantes actividades.
Se celebra a finales de junio y podrás participar o simplemente ver deportes como parapente, longboard, descenso de ríos, escalada, salto base y mucho más.
Midnight Sun Marathon
La Midnight Sun Marathon (La maratón del sol de medianoche) es una carrera que tiene lugar todos los años en Tromsø, ciudad situada en el extremo norte de Noruega. Se considera una de las maratones más singulares y pintorescas del mundo por dos razones: la belleza del entorno y el momento en que se realiza.
Se celebra a finales de junio, cuando el sol ya no se pone en Tromsø y ofrece una luz mágica durante toda la noche. El evento presenta diferentes modalidades como una maratón completa, una media maratón, una carrera de 10 kilómetros y una carrera infantil.
Norway Cup
Norway Cup (La Copa de Noruega) es un torneo internacional de fútbol juvenil que se celebra cada año en Oslo. La maratón atrae a participantes de todo tipo, desde corredores de élite que buscan mejorar su marca hasta maratonianos noveles que vienen a completar la carrera por primera vez. The Clown Run is held every September, with all proceeds going to the Hospital Clowns. In 2026, the Clown Run will be held for the 15th time, join us! The Hospital Clowns work to ensure that children admitted to hospital have a daily life filled with humor, dreams and imagination. At St. Olavs Hospital, the Hospital Clowns are an important bright spot in an otherwise gray hospital day, but they need financial support to continue their work. That's why we students want to give something back to the city that we love, by helping the clowns stay in Trondheim. There will be opportunities to participate in: Children's races (1km), 5km and 10km. When the NM Athletics 2026 opens in Trondheim on July 23, there will also be a championship atmosphere for the youngest. The Children's Mini-NM will be held at Torget – a free activity offer for children aged 0–12. The event runs from 12:00 to 14:00, July 23. At the square, children can try out fun athletics exercises such as an obstacle course and 60 meters. They will be timed for the 60 meters. The children's mini-NM does not require registration, you just show up! There is also no registration fee. The children's mini-NM is part of the realization of the NM athletics 2026 vision: "Experiences for everyone". At the same time as the country's best athletes begin the fight for the NM medals at the Trondheim stadium, the Square will be filled with activity, sportsmanship and mastery for the youngest participants. “Tour de Trondheim” is an annual traditional orienteering weekend that in 2026 will be held from September 11-13. The races begin with a city sprint on Friday, September 11th with an arena at Buranbanen activity park, before the race moves to the forest starting from Hyllvatnet (Tulluan north) on September 12th and 13th. The races have trails for all ages and experience levels, and have plenty of facilities every day (kiosk, sports shop, toilets, childcare, etc.). Tough race up the rough stone stairway from Fjellveien to Sandvikspilen. Sandviksfjellet is a mountain in Bergen, and one of the traditional seven mountains that surround the city centre of Bergen. The mountain is 392 m high. Are you fit enough and over 12 years of age, you are welcome to participate. It is not necessary to be member of any sports team / organization. Child tickets apply to children and young people up to the age of 16. Children who can sit on a lap do not need a ticket. Concession tickets apply to pensioners aged 67+, people with disabilities and/or disability pensioners. There will be open kiosks at the match. The gates open 45 minutes before kick-off.

The NM-mila is the start of a completely new concept, which will later be named Olavsløpet. This is a race that everyone can participate in - experienced competitive runners and those who want a challenge. Not least, it will be a good workout for the Norwegian Athletics Championships which start the next day! The route will eventually be marked as part of the cityscape in Trondheim city center, and will be named Olavstraseen. Even in Norway's third largest city, this is a route that does not conflict with car traffic. In other words - a perfect route to set new records on Strava! The course is 5 km long, is WA approved, and runs on historic grounds along the Nidelva River. The NM-mile itself is two laps of the course. The start and finish are at Trondheim Stadium. We believe this will be a great day dedicated to running and community!

Davis Cup to Trondheim Norway is ready for Davis Cup matches on home soil. On September 18th and 19th, Casper Ruud and the Norwegian team will take on Trondheim Spektrum when the opponent is China in World Group 1. The young rising star Nicolai Budkov Kjær is also expected on the team, and for the Trøndelag audience it will be a rare opportunity to see the world elite on home soil. This means both indoor and outdoor seating at our beloved restaurant Lyche, and the World Cup and other sports in the Daglighallen! Lyche is open from 17:00, Wednesday to Saturday every week from June 5th to August 1st. Here you can have something good in a glass, enjoy the students' house both inside and in our new outdoor seating. The community also has a new menu with different dishes throughout the summer.
