The restaurant “The Hill 1125” stands proudly atop Hovden in the Oppdal Ski Center. This iconic establishment is a signature landmark of Oppdal, visible from the village below. Both locals from Oppdal, cabin-goers, and tourists from near and far come to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view and to taste the exciting offerings from the kitchen. At “The Hill 1125”, you can indulge in Italian pizza baked in a traditional wood-fired stone oven, delicious sandwiches, soups and stews, cakes and chocolates, and not to forget, freshly baked cinnamon buns. Røros church - also called "The pride of the mining town" - was built in the golden age of the Røros Copper Company. The building was finished in 1784 and is one of the largest churches in Norway, with 1600 seats. It now emerges in its entire splendor after an extensive restoration that was completed in 2010. Stiklestad National Culture Centre
The Battle of Stiklestad in 1030 Norways most famous historic battle, where the Christian Viking King Olav Haraldsson fell. He later became known as St. Olav. This battle is considered the most important happening leading to the consolidation of Norways as a kingdom and Christianities definitive breakthrough in Norway. The St. Olav Drama and Festival The history experiences are numerous at Stiklestad today. Norways oldest and largest open air theatre "The St. Olav Drama" is the most famous, depicting the events before and after the battle. The play is performed yearly during the "St. Olav Days at Stiklestad" at the end of July. During the festival days, it is heaving with life and you can experience concerts, plays, guided tours, lectures, excursions and activities for the whole family. In addition, you can visit the medieval market, where you can experience medieval music, juggling and theatre. Good craftsmen from all over the country can be found in tents and stalls, wearing medieval clothes and demonstarting their skills. Viking Summer During the summer season, "Viking Summer", there are daily adventures for kids and adults. At the medieval farm Stiklastadir, take a step 1000 years back in time, and at the folk museum, experience life a 100 years ago, where the tableu theatre "Arvesølvet (the silver heirloom)" is featured. Forbord Dome is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view over the Trondheimsfjorden, catch a magical sunset or see the fantastic northern lights if you're lucky. The dome is a full 23 square meters with a window in the roof and in the front and it is placed on a terrace on two levels with a seating area and fire pit. There are many great hiking opportunities in the area, how about a trip to the top of Forbordsfjellet? The dome is centrally located approx. 10 minutes from Trondheim Airport Værnes in Stjørdal and approx. 40 min. from Trondheim. The dome is placed by itself in the hillside up towards Forbordsfjellet, approx. 300 m.a.s.l and is open all year around. There are two parking options and the distance from parking to the dome is from 600-1500 meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a forest road from the car park to get all the way to the dome. In the dome there is a king-size double bed and a seating area for two people. There is plenty of heat in the dome (wood stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days. You don't have to leave the dome to go to the bathroom, it has a separate room with a toilet. You are welcome to bring a dog or other pets, but due to allergies, these cannot be inside the dome. We do have a great dog house outside though. There is 10 liters of drinking water in the dome on arrival, otherwise little access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a primus and two saucepans for easy cooking. Remember that the primus must be used outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the brazier that can be used for grilling. Free access to tea and coffee.

Here you can spend the night in a sleeping carriage from the 1960s, in the middle of Namsen. This is a carriage that Gunde Svan once bought from Norway and we have bought back. Here you will find 10 compartments with 2 beds in each overlooking the river. Good mattresses in each bed. In each couch there is a washbasin with hot and cold water. The rooms are kept virtually identical to when the wagon was in operation. The sleeping carriage and the sanitary carriage are separated from the other cars by a distance of about 20 meters where there is a large seating area. This is reserved for overnight guests. Here you can enjoy the silence and calm with something good in the glass. In connection with the sleeping carriage there is a sanitary carriage with toilets, showers and a small drying room.

The Battle of Stiklestad in 1030 Norways most famous historic battle, where the Christian Viking King Olav Haraldsson fell. He later became known as St. Olav. This battle is considered the most important happening leading to the consolidation of Norways as a kingdom and Christianities definitive breakthrough in Norway. The St. Olav Drama and Festival The history experiences are numerous at Stiklestad today. Norways oldest and largest open air theatre "The St. Olav Drama" is the most famous, depicting the events before and after the battle. The play is performed yearly during the "St. Olav Days at Stiklestad" at the end of July. During the festival days, it is heaving with life and you can experience concerts, plays, guided tours, lectures, excursions and activities for the whole family. In addition, you can visit the medieval market, where you can experience medieval music, juggling and theatre. Good craftsmen from all over the country can be found in tents and stalls, wearing medieval clothes and demonstarting their skills. Viking Summer During the summer season, "Viking Summer", there are daily adventures for kids and adults. "Go Outside-day" at Rønningen
We are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Kom Deg Ut Day in 2026! Sunday, February 1st at 12–15 Join us as Trondhjems Turistforening invites you to a warm and inclusive winter day at beautiful Rønningen farm! Kom Deg Ut Day is Norway's largest outdoor day - a day to celebrate the joy of being outside, regardless of experience and shape. Bring your family, friends and neighbors, and join us for a pleasant and low-threshold outdoor party for all generations. The event is free, and no registration is required. This is what you can experience: (We reserve the right to change the program - more information to come!) Toboggan run with a ball track for skis and tobogganing - we are setting up a playful hill with small obstacles and challenges. Maybe the mascot Turbo Fjellrev will come? - young and old hope to visit! Bonfire - here you can warm up and cook your own food. We will provide firewood. Turbo trail for the youngest - short, fun trail with small tasks. "ROAD CHOICE" by BLE // Antikvariatet
"VEIVALG" by BLE This is a performance you didn't know you needed to see! - audience «VEIVALG» is a genre-crossing folk music/theater performance by the company BLE. On stage is musician Bendik Smedåsgjelten Qvam, and plays everything from bokkehorn and lur, to electric guitar and violin with x number of pedals. Next to him is actor and musician Lisa Luni Thun. Together they tell a story about gentrification of Norwegian nature, cabin developments, old mountain huts, and a deaf grandfather's search for his own "forest tranquility". This is a warm and humorous performance, which also asks important questions about the choices we make, both on our own behalf, others' and not least - the environment around us. What consequences have they had, what are we left with, where does the road go next, and... where do you go... when these questions pile up, and everything around you suddenly feels a bit "too much"? Is there still peace to be found on that mountaintop far away? The performance is written and produced by BLE ; a cross-over company that, in terms of genre, is located where traditional folk music meets the electronic landscape, and the old-fashioned verse form meets newly written text that sometimes borders on slam poetry. A new-fashioned tavern concept, if you will, where the overall motto is; "if the mood is good, everything is good". ....and it usually is, no matter where they are. A warm welcome! A COLD WARRIOR DIES - THE MYSTERY OF OLA DAN EIDE
The fighter pilot and air intelligence officer Ola Dan Eide died during the most dramatic period of the Cold War. Norwegian attack plans against Soviet targets, tactical nuclear weapons and espionage are the backdrop to the story of Ola Dan Eide. On the night of November 15, 1963, Ola Dan Eide is found dead in his room in command quarters G at Bodø main air station. Police officer Tore H. Sund enters room 106, but the body has already been taken away. There were clothes strewn across the floor, the bedclothes torn off, there is vomit and urine in the bed and blood spatter on the wall. On the front of the casket he sees an A, drawn in chalk. Photographs from Bodø Hospital show Ola Dan with large scratch marks on his neck, naked from the waist down. Back home in Bardufoss, 25-year-old Gerd Eide is waiting for a phone call from Ola Dan. Late at night she receives the devastating news that her great love has been found dead. Gerd never tells the truth, not even to the couple's own daughter Berit. After a short time, the police drop the case. The story of Ola Dan Eide and the suspicious death is forgotten - almost. Gerd Eide dies of cancer in 2014. For Berit Eide Skjørtvedt, her mother's death is the start of the search for her own story. The story of Ola Dan has been Åsted Norge's cold case throughout the fall of 2025. A large number of tips have been received in the case that will be followed up by Åsted Norge in the spring of 2026. Listen to the exciting lecture by: Dag Inge Korstad (b. 1970) has worked in the Air Force since 1990. He has his military education from the Air Force Academy and a master's degree from the Norwegian National Defence University. He also has a civilian education from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in history and social studies. In recent years, he has researched and immersed himself in Norwegian air force history, especially from the beginning of the Cold War. He has previously participated as a co-author in various professional books. This is his first independent publication. A Female Gaze x3 - exhibition opening with artist talk
Trondhjem Art Association is pleased to announce the opening of the group exhibition A female gaze x3! The artist collective A Female Gaze, consisting of ten female photographers affiliated with Norway, has had the purpose of promoting the work of female photographers since 2021. Millions of selfies are taken each day, most of them by women and girls. The selfie as we know it today in a time when self-documentation and cameras are everywhere, is a development of the self-portrait, an image form that became common during the Renaissance. Self-portraits do not necessarily show who the person is, but rather how a person wishes to be perceived and how the portraitist perceives and defines themselves. In Trondhjem Art Association a female gaze is directed towards self-portraiture as a form of expression. Through self-portraiture, it is possible to simultaneously be the one who sees and the one who is seen, and thus gain the power of definition of oneself. A Female Gaze asks the question of where a self-portrait begins and ends. What does it mean to expose oneself to society's view of women, how does one take original self-portraits in the wake of social media, and where are the boundaries between staging and reality? The artists will be present during the opening and will participate in an artist talk where the audience will get to know the group better. Welcome!

I deres nye show, "From Pipers to Bells," får publikum både et gjenhør med Pink Floyds største hits, samtidig som de utforsker de dypere delene av katalogen som få andre våger å tolke. Dette er en unik opplevelse som kun et band med stor "B" kan levere. Med en lidenskap for Pink Floyds musikk som er uovertruffen, bringer A Saucerful of Secrets hver eneste tone og tekst til liv på scenen. Dette er ikke bare en hyllest, det er en opplevelse! Bandet tar deg med på en reise gjennom Pink Floyds tidlige dager, fra "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" til mesterverket “The Division Bell.” Bandet viser til gangs i dette showet at de mestrer Pink Floyds unike lydlandskap. The Student Society Symphony Orchestra invites you to a concert with the work Scheherazade by Nikolaj Rimsky-Korsakov - where the tales from One Thousand and One Nights come alive between the notes, and words and orchestral sound merge. Member: 175 kr Non-member: 200 NOK Doors 19:30 - The Student Society Symphony Orchestra, also known as Symforch, was founded in 1910 and is one of the country's largest and oldest student orchestras. The orchestra is part of the Student Society Orchestra, also known as Musikerlåfte. Every Tuesday, around 80 music students meet in Skala to practice under the direction of conductor Espen Andersen. Events at Samfundet can be adapted for visitors with mobility and hearing impairments.

El tren de Oslo a Trondheim dura unas siete horas y para en Kongsvoll, Oppdal, Berkåk y Støren (todas ellas en Trøndelag).
Desde Bodø, el trayecto dura algo menos de diez horas. El tren hace varias paradas dentro de Trøndelag antes de llegar a Trondheim.
Otra opción es tomar el tren desde la localidad sueca de Sundsvall hasta Meråker, en Trøndelag. Este recorrido dura 4 horas y 45 minutos.
