La parte oeste de Noruega alberga también los fiordos más emblemáticos. Observa cómo montañas y cascadas parecen precipitarse hacia el agua de color azul y verde esmeralda.

Los fiordos más famosos son los que forman parte de la lista de patrimonio de la humanidad de la Unesco: el fiordo de Geiranger (Geirangerfjord), el de Hardanger (Hardangerfjord), el Nærøyfjord, el Nordfjord y el larguísimo Sognefjord, que alcanza los 205 kilómetros. Pero otros, menos conocidos, también te sorprenderán. ¡Y es que hay cientos de fiordos en esta región!

En invierno puedes esquiar montaña abajo hasta llegar al fiordo. ¡Moooolaaaa!

En la Noruega de los fiordos hay fabulosas estaciones de esquí en las que disfrutar de la nieve en familia, tanto en las pistas como fuera de ellas. Algunas de las más conocidas son las de Stranda, Sogndal, Myrkdalen o Voss. Y hasta es posible esquiar en verano sobre algunos glaciares.

No hace falta que se te acelere el pulso o se te llenen las botas de barro para admirar estos fantásticos paisajes.

Obviamente, conducir por calzadas como esta lleva su tiempo. La Noruega de los fiordos es en realidad más grande de lo que parece. Visítala sin prisas, a tu ritmo. O bien céntrate en una determinada zona.

¡Y no dudes en hacer muchas paradas para disfrutar de la comida!

Pescado fresquísimo. Carne tan sabrosa como impresionantes son aquí los paisajes. Y la fruta más deliciosa que hayas probado nunca. Puedes disfrutarla recién sacada del árbol, o beberla licuada en forma de sidra. ¡La de las granjas de Hardanger o de los alrededores del Sognefjord está buenísima!

En la costa, junto al océano, vivirás mil y una aventuras. Allí descubrirás islas fascinantes, como la de Grip, que acoge a una importante comunidad de pescadores. Muchas de las casas de esta zona fueron barridas por el mar en 1804 y reconstruidas posteriormente.

En la Noruega de los fiordos también hay muchos pueblos preciosos.

Para muchos, Bergen es el punto de partida por antonomasia. Como antigua capital de Noruega y ciudad perteneciente a la Liga Hanseática, Bergen alberga tesoros como el muelle de Bryggen, además de una animada escena cultural con festivales, obras de teatro y conciertos todo el año.

Pero Bergen no es la única maravilla urbana que encontrarás por estos lares.

Otras localidades que sin duda merecen una visita son Ålesund (en la imagen), con su belleza modernista; Stavanger, un auténtico feudo comidista, o Haugesund, que respira herencia vikinga por los cuatro costados.
